1kg waxy potatoes
5 garlic cloves
5dl milk
Salt and pepper
50g grated parmesan or any other cheese (optional)

Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius
Slice potatoes into very thin slices using a slicer
Chop garlic
Butter an oven-safe pan
Layer the potatoes and garlic, salt and pepper every layer, start and end the layers with potatoes
Add 5dl milk and bake in the oven for 15min
Sprinkle parmesan on top and bake for another 30-40min
